- Inner covering in the reserve container to avoid resin finishing contacting with the pilot chute and deployment bag.
- Electronic tracking system to recover the main canopy after cutaway.

Training: MAFF

Nowadays, the most advanced NATO military parachuting schools make use of assisted free fall training techniques by one or two instructors to ensure a safe and economical learning process.

This methodology allows the student to acquire in a short period of time the necessary aptitudes to maintain a proper body flight position in the air, as well as experiencing appropriate flight sensations with canopies of comfortable openings, predictable reactions, safe flights and soft landings.

The MAFF military training system consists of an ergonomically advanced harness/container that allows complete freedom of movements with main and secondary opening systems located on both sides of the main container, allowing the opening of the main container by either the student or any of the instructors. It also incorporates an Automatic Activation Device (AAD) for increased safety of operation. Is one of the most advanced educational equipments available (designed to optimise the performance of each jump) for the development of appropriate free fall tactical techniques, flight formation discipline and precision landing techniques.

The outstanding MAFF student free fall parachute system combines superior operational capabilities to practice the most advanced free fall training techniques, and flying with state-of-the-art ram-air or wing type canopies.

Tactical: TPM-Plus

High Glide Tactical Military System
The TPM-Plus High Glide Tactical Military System is a multi-mission ram-air parachute system designed for airborne operations from 600 m AGL to 10,000 m MSL.

A range of ram-air tactical canopies allow for a variety of operative applications:

7-cell operational canopies for tactical free fall training and HALO - High Altitude Low Opening drops.

9-cell multipurpose canopies for all missions and purposes (HALO / HAHO - High Altitude High Opening / Tactical Free Fall Training).

11-cell high gliding performance canopies for HAHO parachute insertions (Stand-off).

Fully compatible with most oxygen systems of common use and automatic opening AADs the TPM-Plus allows for free fall as well as static line deployment operations.

Tactical: TPM-Plus SAR

Recent years new low-intensity crisis have developed the need for a new type of search and rescue missions, both military (CSAR-Combat Search & Rescue) and civil operations (SAR-Search & Rescue), where top class skills, high specialisation and state-of-the-art equipment are a must. Direct parachute insertion of highly qualified operatives, providing direct and immediate medical support, as well as defensive cover, prior extraction of distress personnel, require the highest levels of safety and equipment reliability in order to achieve complete mission success.

The TPM Plus SAR / CSAR is an innovative parachute system with unique operative characteristics like the possibility for water landings, mainly on salt waters, being the parachute assembly a supportive floatability element, as well as a signalling aid, among other exclusive developments.

The ram-air canopy stands out for its controlled flying reactions in adverse climate conditions, with strong winds, and therefore allowing for low visibility flight with insufficient knowledge of landing area… situations which require a fast, reliable and safe response of the parachute system, combining high penetration capacity and controlled landings.

Airborne Troop: TP-2Z

Troop Assault Parachute
The TP-2Z Troop Assault Parachute system is the result of incorporating the latest aerodynamic and structural developments in parachute technology to many years of military troop assault parachute operations on the field.

Two size orientable canopies of 34ft and 38ft, and one 35ft directional canopy make up a matrix that covers all tactical requirements of paratroop units with the same system. Common harness and container and same reserve system RTP-26Z with its advanced high/low speed deployment device make it easier to support on the field.

In order to facilitate the introduction on the field and save in training costs, the TP-2Z Troop Assault Parachute system uses traditional packing methods already in use by most western parachute forces and does not require any special tool to pack either the main or the reserve.

The TP-2Z Troop Assault Parachute has been in service since 1998.

Deceleration Systems
EF-2000

CIMSA Ingenieria de Sistemas is a member of the EuroCHUTE consortium awarded with the development and production of the deceleration parachute for the EF2000 Typhoon aircraft. Substantial reductions in landing distance associated with high speed a/c, allow for the use of shorter runways which would be discarded otherwise.

Effective increase of the safety margins in landings on wet or icy conditions and on emergency landings allow to open up the alternatives in missions terminating under difficult atmospheric conditions. Initially intended for deployment only under such conditions, these braking parachutes have proved to be so effective, that currently they are included in the standard operating procedures for all landings thanks to the direct impact they have shown in the operating cost of the a/c due to the substantial reduction in tire and brake wear.

A/C braking parachutes allow substantial savings in costs along the operational life of fighter aircraft.

The a/c braking parachutes manufactured by CIMSA Ingenieria de Sistemas provide:

Reduced
- landing stopping distance.
- brake and tire wear.
- operating costs

Increased
- safety margins in an aborted take-off.
- safety margins when landing on wet or icy runways.

Higher
- resistance to jet exhaust.

MU-90

The MU90/IMPACT Advanced Lightweight Torpedo is the leader of the 3rd generation of LWTs.

Designed and built with the most advanced technology, the weapon is of fire-and-forget type conceived to cope with any-task any-environment capability requirements and meet the ASW operational needs of the 21st century.

It has been designed to counter any type of nuclear or conventional submarine, acoustically coated, deep and fast-evasive, deploying active or passive anti-torpedo effectors.

The MU-90/IMPACT Advanced Lightweight Torpedo has been developed by WHITEHEAD ALENIA Sistemi Subacquei (Italy), DCN International (France) and THALES (France) for the international consortium EuroTorp.

CIMSA Ingeniería de Sistemas is responsible for the design, development and manufacturing of the stabilization system and delivers stabilizer systems for the vessel and fixed and rotary aircraft versions of the MU-90.

Powered Vehicle
Silk Wing

SILK is a family of ram-air wings specially designed for use in powered parachute vehicles up to 500 kg MTOW ranging from 270 sq.ft to 500 sq.ft. A rectangular shape with an aspect ratio of 3.25 ensures a good lift to drag performance ratio that combined with the ease of flight and soft input control and forgiving behavior of the SILK, generates a flight sensation on the powered parachute pilot that make the SILK family of wings delicious to fly from day one.

Its clean design makes possible a broad flight envelope with high levels of finesse combined with high stability and maneuverability that make the aircraft take-off and climb at good rates and still allow for easy and controlled landing sequence and gentle touchdown.

RC

The RC is a 7-cell reserve canopy made of low porosity fabric and Spectra lines for reduced pack volume, its designed and constructed as a low aspect ratio parachute with a rectangular planform for stability during opening, flight and landing, exhibiting predictable behavior throughout its entire flight. Sizes are available from 120 to 280 sq. ft. and is only available in white color.

The RC exceeds the requirements of the Aerospace Standard AS8015B, the FAA TSO-C23d and the EASA ETSO-C23d. Its rugged construction uses additional reinforcement chord wise, span wise, throughout the nose, and at all line attachment points.

The RC canopy features a low pack volume as compared to other reserve parachutes, thanks to the use of 0-3 CFM low permeability, high quality rip stop fabric (SASPA T-34, PIA C-44378C Type IV), together with its unique reinforced construction.

The suspension lines are 725lb Spectra, with the lower steering lines made of 1000lb Spectra. Line attachment points are secured with double bar tacks for higher strength. RC Spectra lines are coated to assure better protection during packing, opening and after landing, better resisting damage from bushes, sand, Velcro hook, etc…
The RC is manufactured under the highest Quality Control standards. All materials are thoroughly inspected and tested according to military standards.
